Anyone tried FitFlops?

I was thinking of getting a pair of FitFlops from Bath & Body Works to help stengthen my legs before we tour the World in 40 days:cool1: Do they work? Is it worth getting them and how comfortable are they? It's still a little chilly here to wear them outside but I thought I could wear them around the house. Thanks!

1st time to the World and 1st ever cruise (and 1st time posting)!:cheer2:

I bought a pair to try out and so far I really like the way they fit. I find them super comfortable...and this is coming from someone who up until now refused to wear shoes with something between the toes.:thumbsup2 Now I don't know about it helping to tone my legs, but after wearing them for a few hours the first time, my legs were sore and tired. I really need to put them on more often, but it is still chilly and I hate cold feet!:goodvibes I'd love to hear from others who've tried them!

Hmmm, that seems like evidence that they might work your leg muscles, interesting!!! :)

I keep looking at these too and I can't decide if they would make your feet more comfortable or make you legs more sore the next day? :confused3

Would love to hear some more opinions. TIA!

I just looked them up online $49.99, suppose to help absorb shock, and work out legs with every step....interesting...would love to hear more about them from people who own them!

I would be interested in hearing if these really work. I might have to invest in these just to see.

I saw these at the mall over the weekend and I have to say, I laughed at them. I mean if all it took to tone up was wearing shoes, we'd all be in great shape! :goodvibes

I just bought a pair and plan on trying them out next week at Hilton Head. The Bath and Body work site has rave reviews for them. I figure if they really do work ill get a second pair. I have to agree with an earlier poster on the cant stand anything between my toes on a pair of shoes but these did feel incredibly comfortable

whats the secret to them? what i mean is, do they weigh more than regular flip flops? something to the effect of ankle weights (though not on your ankle obviously)

I wore them all last summer. I don't know how much I would swear by them as a work out but they did work my letgs more than regular shoes, and you do need to work up to wearing them for any length of time. If you plan on wearing them at WDW in a month, you really need to start wearing them around, now. Start small, like a quick trip to the grocery store.

LOVE, LOVE them. I've had very HAPPY FEET since buying them. I've had them for a couple of months now. Talked a few of my co-workers in to buying them and they have nothing but good things to say about them also. I plan on wearing my in May for our Disney trip.

I have a pair but I don't think my legs are getting a workout while wearing them. But.... my legs were a little sore after wearing them for a few hours each day that first week. Now I will wear them all day on the weekends, if only I could get by with wearing them at work.

They are very cushy and that is what I like about them. I have flat feet (fwiw) and a bad back and these don't make my back hurt if I'm doing a lot of standing or walking. Can't say that when I wear regular 1/4" thick flip flops or even my semi-cushy sandals.

Supposedly they are built so that they throw your balance off just a wee bit and that makes your body constantly correct itself which is supposed to work those leg muscles. Are they actually doing that? I don't know. I will say that I used to not like to wear shoes around the house but find myself always wearing these.

I do not own these but since I work at BBW I thought I would contribute. My store does not carry them but I called one last night that does. I talked with one of the co-managers and she said that they have been flying out of the store.

I asked about the effectiveness and she said that you have to spend about 15 minutes a day walking aggressively to really start to see a difference. Now as for comfort she did tell me that the design of the shoe is actually very similar to the kind of orthotic inserts that could only be obtained by a podiatrist with a prescription. So they should help with back and leg pain.

I asked if they have had any returns and she told me that she has had 2 returns and one exchange for a different size. The only complaints that she has gotten is the thong and that there are not enough colors offered. The shoes only run in whole sizes and tend to run big so many people are having to go down a size.

Another good thing to know is that everything at BBW is 100% guaranteed so if you are not satisfied with them or any other item purchased there, take it back! I like to tell all my customers that little tid-bit. I think that it is very important to be happy with purchases, especially when times seem to be so tough these days.
I do want to try a pair for myself, but my lazy butt does not want to drive the 30 minutes it would take to get to the store in my district that carries them.

I saw these at Macys the other day and tried them on. They seemed pretty comfy, but I have a hard time justifying shelling out $50 for what is essentially a fancy pair of flip flops when I have so many others in my closet. :rolleyes1

I wonder if they will ever go on sale!

I bought them at Macy's yesterday, 15% discount. Saved $7.50!
Macy's has several different colors, too.
So far, I love them! :)

I just ordered a black pair online (we don't live close to a store that sells them). I've been wearing a pair of Sketchers flip flops for over a year. I love them, but they're wearing out. I have trouble with many regular shoes and I rely on higher-end flip flops and softer moccasin type shoes for most of my shoe wearing. I wear them almost everywhere, so I'm glad to learn about the FitFlops. If they're comfy, I'll order more!

I think I'm going to make a trip to Macy's to try them on. I'm interested in a pair of flipflops that I can wear around disney and in the parks (haven't found any comfortable enough yet, and I've tried a bunch). I'm not really concerned about them shaping my legs, just worried that they might fatigue my legs more than needed in the parks.

I did notice on the FitFlops website they are supposed to be coming out with new styles (in May), so that might be appealing to some.

I'd love to hear more reviews of them, and if anyone has worn them in the parks do you think they made your legs more sore than usual?

Very cool! I think I'll stop by B&BW tomorrow and check them out!
