I'm lookin' to potentially spend a week in Argentina (DW's family live there) and was wondering if anyone has ever traveled there or anywhere else outside of the United States using DVC points? Was it easy to do? What was the procedure?
Using the DVC concierge collection, my wife and I stayed at the Royal Garden Hotel in London overlooking Kensington Palace, for 4 nights. We did have to pay the $75 fee but it was well worth it.
It was a wonderful experience.
I do not remember anything in this collection which would be in Argentina.
I've stayed at DLP using points, it was an easy process booked through MS. I think the Argentinian places were all through II. I don't think the process would be any different to the II bookings, but I doubt Argentina has had much action.
I would try to trade early. My sister tried trading for about anywhere in South America in December for anytime this September. She finally gave up a couple weeks ago and went with a trade to San Francisco. I did tell her that she should started looking at least a year out. But you know how younger sisters are.
