Anyone took a small fan on the ship lately

Battery operated fans or ones that have a USB plug are allowed. Those that plug into a wall outlet are prohibited as they could be a fire hazard.

I got a battery one with a USB plug on Amazon and it works great. It's nearly the same as a regular fan since you can plug it in with USB. It was a real lifesaver for me because I need a fan to sleep. I travel with it everywhere now.

Is it quiet? And strong enough for cooling while sleeping? Do you happen to have a link to the one you got?

Are you looking for noise cancellation or cooling? I took a noise cancellation fan on the Magic in April. I didn't really need it as noise was next to nothing, but it helps soothe me.

My understanding is you can have the electrician verify it. Once it passes inspection then it is good for use. The suggestion was to bring it via carry on and ask to have it checked. That's my plan as I need it for both air movement and sound.

We took a battery operated/AC adaptor camping fan in April. They allowed it... and we used the plug not batteries but I was careful to store the AC adaptor in a separate baggie so it wasn't seen as being used with the plug. But our cabin steward saw it out all the time and even left it running, plugged in.
