anyone there this week - how are crowds?

I'd be curious if anyone saw when RSR FP ran out today. According to the Disneyland app they were still available at 11:00am (with a return time of 9:20pm) and then when I checked the app just now at 11:30 am they were out. So according to the app they ran out some time between 11:00am and 11:30am.....

Now I don't trust the Disneyland app at all. It showed RSR fast passes available until 10:25am. That's 2 hours past when you said they ran out. I was really hoping I could trust the app to save me walking to different fast pass machines to see what times are available

Try calling Ask Otto. We had great success with that last summer. I assume they are still using that service. The number is (714) 520-7090.

I found it odd that they'd be out that early too - considering how long it just takes logistically speaking to have the system issue the full number of fastpasses that are available throughout the course of the day, you'd think it would take much longer than 30 minutes even if each machine was being used constantly.

Perhaps the ride was down and fast passes were not being distributed when the the PP visited the fast pass distribution area? Just because the fast pass return window shows the -- -- doesn't mean they are gone, it can mean the ride is temporarily closed. :confused3

When the ride first opened, there was a constant line for RSR FP's until they ran out. It usually took at least an hour and half.

We just got back last night. Crowd level 10. It'll be like that for the next few weeks. It's Spring Break, and jam packed.
The huge cheerleading competition was going on as well so lots of cheer squads.
I thought they were very well behaved at the hotel, with the exception of a few girls who acted like animals. Why their adults did not tell them they can't scream and run down the halls at midnight is beyond me, but there are always a few in a group.

Be prepared for big crowds, long waits. Use FP, get dining reservations, lower your expectations on how much you'll do.
The line for Pirates was longer I have ever seen it in my whole life. Same with Big Thunder. I never knew they could zig-zap and wrap lines around like they did. It was amazing.

3/24 return time for RSR was 11am - 12pm at 8:30am.

ETA - I pulled an RSR FP at 9:45 with a 2-3 return time. Parks are busy, but manageable. I have definitely seen it worse. We are having a blast doing the egg hunts.
