DS and I are heading down in one week. This is the first time I've been in May. Is there anyone in the World now? Wondering how the May crowds are.

We were just there - 4/23-4/29 and found the crowds light. Of course, that may mean nothing for May, but at least your question will get bumped to the top of the page, LOL.

The Flower & Garden Festival was absolutely gorgeous (as was the weather), so hope it is still going for your May dates.

We've been here since thurs and are leaving today. There seems to be a lot of people but the lines for the attractions don't seem that bad to me. Fast passes help a lot. And it was the shortest line I've ever see for Midway Mania yesterday morning. Maybe 20 minutes at 9:10 am

We are heading down on May 5th. I too am hoping the crowds are light. I did not realize that Mother's day was next Sunday (don't tell my mom) and we are going to be there. Anyone been on mothers day before? I am hoping that not a lot of mothers visit on their day, but I am afraid the mothers will make the dad take the kids to to parks.

:woohoo:We're headed down on the 10th and this is our first May trip. Hoping the weather is good and the lines are manageable...:cloud9:

My Mom and I used to do Mother's Day at WDW. The last time was 2005, she passed away later that year. Our experience was that it wasn't much different than any other off season Sunday. We would go to Epcot in the morning for the Mother's Day picture (not sure if they do that anymore), then MK for dinner at CRT. The only crowds we ran into that week was at Epcot, lots of school field trips.

The first week in May (after university graduation) has been our annual trip for the past 10 years. We typically stay until my bday (5/13) or Mom's day - on occasion the same day. Epcot always had a really nice Mom's Day set up. Not sure if all the parks give out carnations like Epcot does or not, but they have for the last 9 or so years that I remember. Might have have to do with F&G festival - not sure.

We did notice that it became increasingly busy each year, but still a great time to go. DS started kindergarten this year so it will be our fist May not at Disney in 11 years  With DH teaching at University and my being a nurse - elementary school has really screwed us up on traveling :rotfl2:

There was a thread not to long ago asking when the LEAST busiest time of year is to travel to Disney and several people (with the mega # of posts) said May 10 - 20 as the least busiest! I started jumping for joy since I will be there May 15! Cannot wait!

:wave2: Hi from AKV-Jambo. The crowds have been relatively low. Weather was HOT today, but beautiful earlier last week.

We are headed down on the 7th and also hope crowds are light, but we hope they are light whenever we go! Our mothers day present is I'm bringing the boys with me to give Mom a break...........well at least that is my story:rolleyes1

We are headed down on May 15 also. Sure hope that the crowds are managable and the weather is perfect - hey a girl can wish, can't she:lovestruc !!!!

This will be our first time to stay at AKL and we are really excited.:woohoo::woohoo:

For all those going in May, have a great time!!

I'm leaving next Sunday(5/9) on Mother's Day and staying until the 13th. This is just a non-park, relaxation trip so the crowds won't matter. But I always hope they're light. Have a great trip, everyone! :goodvibes

We're headed down the 21st thru June 5th for our first ever May trip. I know the crowds won't be like what we are used to in Sept, but we hope they won't be too bad.
