I do not mean this in any negative way, but by using a touring plan (that sometimes included using FP outside of the window) , you could have done more. If you are fine with the number of attractions that you are able to do in a day, than great, you will have no problem.
I go to Disney for rides, I don't care about hidden mickey hunts, eating dole whips and staring off into space, or smelling the roses. I can smell roses at home, however, I cannot ride Space Mountain at home. My days have always been geared towards getting on as many rides as possible, and now the empirical evidence (presented by Len Testa who uses algorithms to determine wait times) indicates that I will have to wait more and accomplish less.
If I was accomplishing less from the get-go, I wouldn't notice any change. Those of us who are most upset about this change are those who prioritize maximizing ride time.
ETA: I'm talking about strict numbers here, I'm not insinuating that your day wasn't maximized with fun or with magic, this is all about number of rides and attractions per day.
