Anyone there nowor just got back? what was the weather like hot ? what sun cream factor do you take ?
Silly question... but is there anyone out there with fair skin that's been able to do this? I'll be heart broken if I come home just as pale as when I left!

This is something that's been worrying me lately, actually!
I'm incredibly fair skinned, a little bit ginger and I burn in February, whilst it's cloudy, so burning in the summer is a given!
My nieces and my boyfriend however pretty much absorb the sun and turn a lovely shade of tanned after a couple of days... it makes me incredibly jealous, whilst I sit there closely resembling a red faced and frazzled lobster.
I'm not sure how I'll handle the Florida sun! Lots of people have advised that I use SPF50 or so for the first week/two weeks and then gradually lower it once my skin has become accustomed to the sun.

We are here at the moment, it's been very hot, even when it's been raining. Kids tan easily without burning so we use factor 30 on them all the time. Scott and I started on 30 and now using factor 15(the spray non greasy type).i have found that its the shoulders that burn the easiest, so use extra here:this has seemed to be right for us as we've not burnt. Just wear cream all the time reapplying often even when cloudy
I cringe now at the memory of sun bathing as a teenager using cocoanut oil.
