Please tell me how Tues.- Fri. was? I know the crowds are picking up today-Sat., but would love to know how the crowds were earlier in the week. Planning a trip for either next Thanksgiving or our spring break.

I was at MGM yesterday and the park was fairly empty. Most rides were walk ons. I was there at park opening and walked right onto ToT and RnRC.

I was at MK and Epcot this week and crowds were relatively light. We were able to do Soarin', MS and TT all within an hour on Thursday. Today MK is packed but it's a Sat so that's to be expected

So do you think the week before thanksgiving was not busy at all? We usually go in Sept, but I would like to try this week. I just love that the park is not crowded at all in Sept.

We just got back 11/17. Crowds were horrible last week but much better the begin of this week. We did MK on Fri 11/11 Veteran's day and it was HORRIBLE! Big crowds. We did AK on sat (big crowds) and downtown Disney /sat night (huge crowds). Sun MK morning (better still crowded though) MGM sun night MOBBED for Super Soap Weekend (rides were pretty empty). Mon-Weds crowds were not too bad but much more crowded than in the past. Weds Extra Magic Hours at MK ... MOBBED - not much fun at all. They were previewing the new Holiday Wishes. I have never seen Main st so crowded except for Easter!!! I will try to stay away from booking this week again but I suppose if i couldn't get there at another time we would go again this week if we had to. We did have an awesome trip though. HTH.

Wow I really do not like when I think I have a good week, but find out it is crowded. You are right though Disney is always great. I am wondering if the week after Thanksgiving will be bad? I take my kids out of school, so I am thinking they will not miss to much just getting back from Thanksgiving.

We were at MK on Wed night, too. Yes, it was crowded, but I think the fact that two of the rides that were supposed to be open (Jungle Cruise and HM) were closed contributed somewhat to the bottleneck feeling around those rides that were open.

Hi,

We just returned from WDW (11/12-11/19). We visited WDW during this same week in 2003. The crowds were quite a bit bigger in 2005 versus 2003. Saturday 11/12 at Epcot was awful. Soarin and Test Track were out of fastpasses by 3:30pm or so--and walking around the World Showcase was unpleasant due to crowds. Sunday at MK was also busy. The crowds thinned considerably by Tuesday and were reasonable through Friday. However, there were definitely more people there and fewer walk-on rides than in 2003.

We were there 11/12 - 11/19. The first two days were quite crowded, but it was Veterans weekend, last weekend of F&W and Super Soap weekend, so it was to be expected. Starting on Monday, it was thinning out. Tuesday through Thursday were quite light, but Friday was a bit heavy again.

My ILs tried to ride Soarin during the day on Thursday and found an 80 minute wait. They went later that night (it was EMH night at Epcot) and it was walk on. We walked on to Soarin on Wednesday at 7 pm with no wait.

Animal Kingdom was pretty quiet on Friday 18th, that was in the morning. MK was super quiet on Thursday 17th, compared to how it was the Saturday before. Having said that, I didn't think MK was as crowded as it was in May when we went. On Saturday 12th, we were there at opening and were able to go on all the rides without much wait. Longest was about 10 minutes, but we were there early, which does make a difference. We left the park at around 3pm, and Fantasyland was pretty mobbed. This Thursday was great though, longest wait was for Ariel at her grotto, about 20 minutes, but none of the rides had a line longer than 5 minutes..apart from perhaps the ones in Fantasyland, which do seem to take a little longer..I would estimate between 10 and 20 minutes.

Oh yes Soarin on Friday 11th...not happening. We got fast passes at 9.30am for..... wait for it 6:30pm.....!!! The line was running at 120 minutes at 9.30am. Epcot was very very busy that weekend (last weekend of Food & Wine) We didn't go back this week so I can't compare, but it was the busiest I have seen it.

We were in the MK the last 2 days and it wasn't too bad. But we did notice the crowds were getting larger yesterday and later in the day, even with the weather threatening to rain.

Our trip was Nov 12-19 and we had a blast! Followed the touring plan, and didn't wait more than 10-15 mins for any ride, including Soarin! We did MK on Tues the 15th and we were done all the rides by noon and had very short lines to meet all the characters, in fact there was no line forming at the Judges Tent so we were first in line to meet Mickey!!! :goodvibes

What touring plan???? :flower:

We arrived Nov. 12th (Sat. evening) and just got home today (Sunday). We went to the MK on Sat. night on arrival and it seemed packed to us although this was our first time there so we have nothing to compare to. We were able to do Space Mountain with a fast pass within about an hour. We did Indy Speed while waiting for SM and that was about a 30 minute wait. It was hard to walk around it was so packed.

Sunday the 13th we went to AK and it was busy but not horrible. The park felt crowded but lines were not bad for the rides. We used Fast Pass for the Safari and the Primeval Whirl (only because they were having problems and the line backed way up). When we went to use the FP there was no line.

During the week of the 14th - 18th wasn't too bad and we hardly had to use any FP's. We did MGM on Monday (longest wait was for the stunt show) - TOT & Rockin Rollercoaster we got on within 5-10 minutes, Epcot on Tuesday (very slow - Test Track no wait - we were able to ride 2 times because no one in line), MK Weds - didn't need any FP's, MGM on Thursday again, and MK/Epcot on Friday (both slightly busier).

Like I said - I've got nothing to compare it to but it seemed to us that it was a great week to go!!

DH and I were there 11/9-11/19. We stayed away from Epcot the first few days until Food and Wine Festival ended. However we did walk through as we stayed at Boardwalk Inn. I saw waits of 70 minutes for Soaring.

Last week we didn't find a lot of waits. Since it was only the 2 of us we didn't follow any set plan, just went where the spirit moved us. We walked onto many rides and had a blast.

That's such good news! Those are are days/dates for next year. :)

We just returned from a cruise(11/13-11/17), followed by time at WDW (11/17-11/20). Having spent this same week at WDW the last 3 years, we expected crowds to pick up on Saturday (11/19) and especially today (we stayed away from the parks today). We didn't sense much difference from previous years when comparing Thursday and Friday, and the crowds are still very much a function of which park has EMH (whether early or late). Keep in mind, for most of week, only 1/2 of the Soarin ride was operational. On Friday, they re-opened the other concourse and the waits were down substantially and fastpasses were available much later into the day. Even Saturday (with the Thanksgiving week crowds arriving), waits were much shorter than on Thursday. We always find it possible to get on most of our favorite rides as walk-ons, at least part of this week. With the appropriate use of fastpasses, we never spend much time waiting during the week, and almost always question why we didn't go home earlier by the time the crowds show up on Saturday.

Remember though, Disney, as a profit-making venture, is motivated to try to grow attendance during these slower periods, so they will always be trying to make this week busier.

We were in Disney World the week of October 29-Nov 5th and we walked on all the rides. Once we had to wait 20 minutes for Splash Mountain but after that one time (on a Sunday afternoon) we did not wait for anything.
