Anyone that uses or has tried Airborne?

It works for my family. I keep my cabinet stocked with it. At the first sign of a cold, we take and feel better the next day. I have never thought of taking it before flying. I think that is a great idea.

I've tried Cold-Ease and Airborne with no success.

Like others, I have trouble with OTC "cold remedies," i.e., Sudafed, DayQuil, NyQuil, etc. I often feel worse taking these things than not.

Last cold bug I got was five days before a trip to WDW (this past September). We had lots of drinking and days in the sun planned, so antibiotics were not something I was looking forward to.

I followed my mother's advice. I made a huge pot of homemade chicken noodle soup. Chicken stock, celery, tons of onion, carrots, shredded chicken breast meat, herbs, broken up spaghetti noodles. I ate that soup for breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days, until it was gone.

In between my soup meals, I drank premium, loose-leaf tea. 32 oz of rooibos and 32 oz Chinese white per day. I found these teas at Teavana (they have a website, too). When I wasn't drinking tea or soup, I was drinking water.

My cold was gone in three days flat, and it never got really bad (I smoke, so my colds usually end up "bad"). I'll never doubt my mother's word again :)

I started taking last week, felt a cold coming on. I have my whole family on it right now seeing as we leave on Thursday for DL. We always use it before traveling, seeing as we always fly. :thumbsup2

I love Airborne! I've also bought the Wal-Greens brand, Wal-Borne (same ingredients, cheaper price). Basically it is a dietary supplement, a bunch of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and herbal extracts. No cold medications in it that I know of, and it has 5 calories per tablet.

The only flavor I've purchased so far is the lemon-flavored effervescent. Just drop it in a cup of hot/cold water and wait for it to dissolve, then drink! It says on the directions that you can repeat it every three hours as necessary, but I usually only take it once.

Airborne does not give you any side effects.

I take it before I get on a plane or when I'm starting to feel cold symptoms. It's great to use if you're going to be in an environment where there are a lot of people gathered together. Airborne won't make you feel better 100% right away, but I usually notice that the day after, my symptoms aren't as bad as they would be if I had a real cold. And I am usually better pretty soon after that.

Also a sidenote: I recently read in my Nutrition textbook that chewable vitamin C can dissolve tooth enamel. :worried: I enjoyed those too.

DH and I are teachers and we buy this stuff in bulk. We love it. It really helps us keep our sick days to a minimum. Those little ones really bring in the germs sometimes.

I am a skeptic when it comes to homeopathic stuff, but I swear by Airborne.

I'm the exact same way. I tried it for the first time a couple months ago when I was getting sick before my Disneyland trip. I was amazed at how well the stuff worked.
