Anyone tempted with the cruise offer?

I really want to take advantage, with 3 kids it may be the only way we could ever go. But next year is supposed to be our year without a vacation because we did a lot of short trips in the past year and then we are taking a big vacation in '11. But boy am I tempted!!

I broke down and asked for a quote. We have a big 2 week European cruise scheduled next year that we are going on but this is tempting!

We jumped on this promotion when they offered it this past spring. We (2A, 1C, and an infant) sailed in a Cat12 for less than $850. It was definetely worth it! We're looking forward to cruising again in 2011 -- a 7 day with a veranda this time!

Have fun!

Sooooo tempting! We sailed this past April with the kids sail free promo. I've narrowed it down to 2 dates, both 3 nighters for the 4 of us in a cat 12 for $777....decisions, decisions!!!:rolleyes1

can you fit 4 in a category 12???? it states max occupancy 3

No, but Disney will let you book it, if available. We'll at least get upgraded to a Cat 11. Last time we booked a 12 gty we were upgraded to a cat 9.

you won't spend a lot of time in your cabin, so don't worry about being squished. book it!!

Tempting but since we're a family of 7....kind of ruins the kids sail free due to having to have 2 paid people in each room, so we'd pay for 4 and get 3 free. Ends up being about the same as a 9 day trip to DW with tickets and dining plan, for a 3 day cruise. Not as tempting when you look at it that way :(

we loved our cat 4 room. we got a great fla resident rate for a 4 day cruise back in 2005. I think we paid $1600 for a family of 4. It was a nice time but I think we would go with RCL now that the kids are older.

so let me get this straight
so if we book at the least expensive cabin for 4 ( max 3 occupancy) disney will automatically upgrade us to the higher cabin?????

Price it out! We just got our email and we're saving $750 on our two cruises. We're a family of 6 - we're in a cat 10 (connecting secret porthole rooms!) and we got the three day for 2090.52 and the 4 day for$2490.52. We're doing the back to back. We were VERY pleasantly surprised that it saved that much as we originally booked at low rates because we booked on board last January.

Now, what to do with that "extra" $750!!!!!!

Yes, but they don't always have them available. You have to search dates until you find one with availability.

Tempted?? Ha, I booked last night! (lol) Can anyone let me know what are the "desired" room locations for Cat. 10? I know they are all on level 2 but anyone out there with any hints or suggestions?

If there are any available, the secret porthole rooms on deck 5! There are 8 I believe, all forward.

I'm considering the Feb 18th 3 night cruise. We were going to do 7 nights at Disney but we could split it 4/3. I'm concerned though. Isn't it awfully cold for cruising in Feb? Can you even do anything at Castaway Cay when it's chilly?

how do you check cabin availability???? can you do that online???

Yes...just go online and do as if you're booking, choose your date, etc...then click on choose stateroom and a virtual ship will come up showing all available rooms in your category.
