I didn't even realize that the eclipse was happening until a few minutes before it did. At the time, it was still too bright out, and we were heading to a friend's house for "game night" - and they have tall trees all around. I brought my gear and kept looking out the window, and saw a reddish glow through the trees at one point, but never was able to actually see it during the eclipse.
When we got home (~11:30pm), I did go into the backyard and took a few photos. I think they're not TOO bad considering the ambient light and the fact that there were pretty heavy clouds moving quickly across the sky, so these are shot through those. Still, I'm reasonably content, and it did give my an excuse to drag out the old 400mm and screw-mount adapter.
This is a 100% crop... ISO 200, 1/90th second, I think the aperture was F11? It's an older lens so that information isn't transmitted. The photo is untouched other than the basic raw-jpg conversion and cropping.
