Anyone taken a taxi from Epcot?

Are there taxis usually somewhere waiting?

We are leaving next week for a trip with family friends; 4 adults, 4 kids. Have two rental cars (one midsize, one standard suv)... staying in a house 3 miles from property.

Sunday morning we will do EPCOT as a group, but the husbands will leave from Epcot around 1 with one of the cars to go to Tampa for a football game.

This leaves 2 adults and 4 children at the park - too many for one car.

I have been searching for a reasonably priced van, but no luck so far. Would a taxi be a reasonable option to get back to our rental home?

Yes, the entrance to the taxi stand is between Disney bus load zones 5 & 6.

If you leave late and they're all gone, there are signs all around the taxi stand with the number to call on your cell phone.

But, um, why should the larger group be inconvenienced? Make the men take the taxi; you drive the cars.

Like I said, if the OP leaves late.

The buses run until every guest is out of the park, but the taxi drivers bail out when the flow of exiting guests drops to a trickle. That's when the trolling independents find their victims.

A taxi to and from the football stadium in Tampa will be a lot more $$$$ then a taxi from EPCOT to their hotel/rental home.

edited to add Is at least one child old enough to be left by himself, either at EPCOT or at your rental home? If so the driver could make 2 trips. Just use a cellphone to call for a taxi if there aren't any. You could also exit EPCOT through the international gateway. Grab a taxi from the BC.

Unfortunately no. We have a 8 year old, 6 year old, 5 year old, and 4 year old.


And to the PP suggesting the boys take the taxi, I would love that but they are headed to Tampa.

Thank you everyone! Glad to know there is a taxi stand there... I have never looked as we are always staying on property.
