Anyone take the Emergen-C vitamin packets?

These are the little fizzy powder packets of vitamins that you dissolve in water & drink.

A friend gave me a couple of packets to try out. I absolutely HATE trying to swallow pills. I've had so many bottles that I just end up throwing out after the expiration date because I didn't take them. The packets seems a lot easier. But I was wondering if they really work?
