Anyone surprised at CRT availability?

Has anyone gone lately with the new menu and price and enjoyed their visit? Our daughter turns 7 this summer and we'll be going to the Castle if we can get it since that's what she asked for ... I just want it to be special and hope people are still enjoying it. :paw:

The change does not take affect until Feb 1, so no one can report on the new process. However, it does sound like they are testing having Cindy downstairs with the photographer and people are getting the pictures for free without the price increase. However, I don't know if they are doing it every day or randomly.

We did the Norway breakfast and it was quite lovely -- felt that Park Fare was a little less "enchanting' in terms of the enivronment. Makes me sad that price will keep folks away from affording breakfast.....

I was told by the CM when making my reservations that "everything" .... tax and tip were included....but, I don't know if the tip was included because we had ten people or not... :confused3 I don't even know what percentage of a tip was included..I'll have to "back track" to figure it out...What is their tax percentage?...6%? If they included 15% in the tip...then I guess we'll have to give another 5% to complete the 20% tip? :smooth: But, If I really get "techinical"....I wouldn't be tipping the extra 5% based on the whole amount charged to my Visa...as it included already included ......"everything"...

Is it because it is now more expensive (with pictures included), that you have to put the whole proce of the meal down as deposit, that there is lunch available or that people are not aware you can reserve now 180 days in advance? Just curious....
All of the above, I think.

Indeed, "everything" is included. You can walk in to the restaurant and at the end, you won't have to put out another dime.

But the tip is a little complicated. Part of the listed cost is apportioned to the meal, and part to the picture package. The amount charged to your card includes an 18% tip on the meal portion, but you aren't tipping on the picture package at all (which makes sense).

I am so confused about this. Is Cinderella and/or other princesses not going to be in the room when you eat breakfast now? Only downstairs? Having never been to CRT, I was going to try for it for our May 06 trip, but there is no way I am paying that money and then only getting to see Cinderella for a quick photo op. Will someone please explain? :scared:

I think that people definitely aren't booking 6 months out - most guests don't book their trips that far ahead. It certainly makes it easier for me to get through in the mornings!

I do believe the extravagant price will also keep some guests from not going. The diehards still will, but I wouldn't go back.
