Great topic.
We went in November of this year, DW and I decided in September, and decided to surprise the kids. We woke them up the morning we left and didn't tell them until we were well on our way. They didn't believe us at first, but then they couldn't contain their excitement. Their reaction was almost as good as the vacation itself. But, they know about the upcoming March trip and are quite anxious for it to get here.
