Anyone stop coming here after their trip?

Yep, I do it...spend half my days on the boards when I'm planning a trip, but don't touch them for months afterwards. It is extremely depressing hearing about everyone going on their trips unless I'm planning one too!! I'm selfish that way! I was off 6 months this last time and it took me quite a while to get caught back up on all the happenings since I'd been away!! Hopefully this time my post-DISdom depression won't as long!

Our first WDW visit was this past May. I stayed off the boards for about a month after our trip. I think there are two reasons. First, I was sad that we had to come home and reading about it just made it worse. Second, I spent so many hours here before the trip, that I had to take a break. After about a month break, I came back and I really enjoyed helping other people plan by telling them about our experiences and opinions.

Right now, I read the boards almost every day, but not for hours at a time. I'm planning another trip next May and I'm sure that as it gets closer, I'll start spending more and more time here. Eventually, when everyone starts debating whether discount codes will come out for that timeframe, I'll probably be checking in 10 times a day hoping for a code so I can splurge on a deluxe.

Well my trip in October is only my second and after that I fear we have NO plans in the immediate future to go back. I live in CA and we try to go to DLR at least once a year so after this trip to DW our next trip is to DLR in Nov 06. We have some REALLY big trips planned for 07,08 and 09 (non-disney like Europe and such) so I seriously doubt we will be able to go back to DW till at least 10 which is sad to say the least but I can't afford to do both since we are on the other coast and DW is expensive to say the least. (although I DO hope to go to Disneyland Paris while in Europe!!)

I will still come here I am sure though because I enjoy hearing about others trips and living vicariously through them. And I KNOW I will go back someday so I can hear all the latest and greatest from everyone.

I took a hiatus after our last trip, but now I've got so many trips planned, I might as well stick around, because it sure does look like I'm always going to be between trips! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

I Do The Very Same Thing!!! I Start In Again When I Start Planning My Next Vacation@@@ I've Even Forgotten My Login And Password And Had To Start Over Here Twice

WE have not been since 2003 (to Disneyland), and for awhile we did not visit the boards (about 3 months), but then we just started to check to keep up with all that is Disney...and I do get jealous of others trips...knowing that my sister just changed jobs, and myself wanting to with inthe next two months, I don't know when our next trip will be. We will more then likely wait until Everest is open.

this last trip it took me almost a full week before i returned to the Dis. but on the 8th day i retured to my old ways of visiting every time i could. i always try to visit at least once a day.

jealous not me, i am envious!!!

I thought I would quit coming here after our trip, but I came back to answer questions, and I found the Community board b4 I left and I have had tons of fun there, so I keep coming back

I spend way to much time on the DIS both with or without trips planned. You should try the Community Board. We talk about lots of other things over there.

We went Oct. '02 and I did take a break from the boards for a while.

I may have to take another small break after our Oct. '05 trip. My DH told me the other day, "I hope when we get back, you'll do other things than read about DIsney. Our house is really suffering." I have really neglected things I should be doing to read these boards.

I've been addicted to baby boards til I found the DIS and I am always planning another trip so how could I not come here?

Yep! Or at least I used to!

After I first found these boards, I was on all the time, mostly lurking, when I was planning our next trip. I found so much great information, but when I got home I was so depressed that, like the OP, I didn't want to read about everyone else getting ready to go! Selfish, I know! :guilty:

BUT, I have learned now that the people on the DISboards are the only ones who can truly accept and understand my Disney addiction! This place helps to feed my addiction and I really do enjoy helping out others now when I can.

I actually now don't spend nearly as much time on here as I wish I could.

I have always come back to the boards for awhile after each trip to answer questions and relive the trip but then I drift :boat:away for a bit. I pop back here and there just to see what's going on and get diehard again when we've planned another trip.

Getting back on this site is one of the first things I do!!!!
:rotfl:
I love to share thoughts and experiences!
YES....it makes me sad that I am back.... but I get enjoyment out of seeing everyone else being so excited to be going!
Then..... of course.... I am always planning the next visit!! :rotfl:

I might not visit the trip planning boards in between visits but I am always on the Community board.

I'm going thru that exact feeling right now. I want to go to Mousefest soooooooo bad, but know intellectually it would be better to wait till 2006. Phoeeeyyyyy.

So I try to avoid those threads, but curiousity usually wins. I keep telling myself that this time next year, I'll be signing up for all those mini meets, staying at my favorite resort, WL, and seeing friends I met last time.

My motto in life....."God grant me patience, and I want it right now!!" :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I usually come right back on the DIS to post the trip review and to share the pictures! I like to help answer their questions just like how other folks have helped me.

After... I try to stay away from the Resort and Park board. I get a little jealous when I know there's tons of folks on their way to WDW and I am not going cause I just went. So what do I do... I would sometimes visit the Community Board and lurk there a lot.

I don't think I could ever stay away from the DIS Board. It's part of my everday thing...

BUT, I have learned now that the people on the DISboards are the only ones who can truly accept and understand my Disney addiction! This place helps to feed my addiction and I really do enjoy helping out others now when I can.

Me too! I come here to be understood! :rotfl:

When I first come back from a trip I come back to the DIS to see who else went when I did and to post about my trip and answer questions, ect...then I take a little mourning time off and then I'm back again...planning another trip! I like answering questions and doing the "What's Your Favorite" type threads too. Plus, I'm afraid I might MISS something if I don't check in every couple days!

yeah i did till i knew i 'd be going back...to much jealousy when i hear others going andi'm not Hehe)

Everyone's sad and disappointed coming home from WDW, and, to me, the DIS is kind of a little taste of Disney at home. My post count has jumped about 125 posts in the past 7 days by answering questions. My brothers have been complaining that I'm on the boards TOO MUCH since I've come back from vacation.
