It's amazing how this thread changed. New York is somewhat getting bettter what you can find in stores. Toilet paper is still tough to find, But Chicken is beginning to reemerge in stores. Apaarently chicken is the choice meat of NY for an apocalypse.
Ha! When is a chicken not really a chicken? When it's really a huge turkey drumstick being masqueraded as a chicken leg.

I get there and there is barely more than Fri. So they did replenish, but I wasn't early enough. There are several packages of what are clearly large turkey drumsticks. There is no brand label. They were packed in white styrofoam and just wrapped in plastic. So the meat counter guy at our store pre-wrapped them all. We usually don't have turkey drumsticks in the store, except at Thanksgiving time. They are tough to cook, dry and tough to chew and they have that huge inedible vein running down the leg.
I look down at the store label: "Store picked chicken drumsticks."

Since it was the only "chicken" there was left, I had to take a couple packages. I broiled a couple. Yep, cooks like a turkey leg and is tough to chew when cooked like a chicken leg. I'm going to have to make
