We have tomorrow and Tuesday left . Even thogh I look forward to the summer , I always cry when I say good-bye to my students. I finished buying their end of the year gifts from me this weekend. I've been reading the Junie B. Jones books all year to them, and got each of them a Junie B. book- I was even able to get some copies in Spanish (almost half my class is classified as transitional Bilingual) . They're also getting their own summer Writing Journal, a box of crayons, and some pencils, plus I was able to find a Junie B. Jones graduation certificate online that I printed out for each child. So, who else is still in school

HA, we win, we're in all WEEK...last day is Friday.

DD is in year-round school, and she is SO ready to be done. The last week is pretty much a fun week at least.

Kteacher, what a thoughtful and appropriate end of year gift for your students. My daughter is completing first grade and loves those books! My last day of school is Wednesday but I will not see my students since I teach high school. I have not seen them since the Regents Exam on Wednesday. Enjoy your summer and good for you for motivating those kids to read!

Kteacher, what a very nice thing to do for your students. My DD's teacher read those books to the class and they loved them.

Geez and I thought we got out late. We sent our students home at 1:30 on Friday the 13 and the teachers finished on Monday the 16th.

But my grad school classes started today so I won't really be done until August 1.

I like the goodies you bought for your students. Hopefully their parents will continue to support your reading and help their students over the summer.
