Just wondering if anyone else is staying on-site this weekend. We are scheduled to stay in a 2br at Riviera Friday thu Monday, but we are still up in the air with the looming weather forecasted to be ugly for the entire weekend. Our plan originally was to enjoy the resort pool and bar, play around outside and just enjoy the hotel. Now with the weather, I am having thoughts about what to do if it rains all weekend and the pools are closed due to weather..boo. Normally not as big a deal, but we are bringing our 4 year old godson with us...and he is a swimmer, so nothing like telling a 4 year old...look at that cool pool that we can't go in!!

So anyone have any rainy day activity ideas that they would like to share? I know it is a little more difficult with there still being a lot of closures around Disney, but ideas help....

We are headed down tomorrow to Saratoga Springs Resort, checking out Monday. Our plan was also to enjoy the resort, pool and walk over to Disney Springs for some good meals. We were upgraded to this resort so probably our only chance to stay here. We have been on the fence about cancelling as well due to the weather but we are here in Florida, a little north of St. Augustine, and the weather forecast here doesn't look any better. I have been working from home since March so the thought of spending my holiday weekend cooped up in these same four walls is depressing. So we are going with the mindset that it's better to be stuck inside in a nice resort than home. That being said, I have been listening to the weather guys here and in Orlando. They have consistently said it will not be a wash out and rain all day so there is hope. They have a very hard time getting the forecasts right here. We had a 90% chance of heavy rain last night and got nothing at our house. As far as activities, I would pull up the resort on MDE and see what they are currently offering. I think they usually have activities in the main building in some resorts. I hope it works out for you!

We are also staying at Saratoga Springs this weekend. The multiple pools and proximity to DS were a big reason for this "no parks" stay. As for the weather, it's a typical FL forecast in July. Flip a coin on whether it's going to rain or not. If it does, there's a good chance it will NOT be all day :)
