Our family will be staying at SOG for the first time this year. Our dates are May 19-28th !

We are SOG May 4-May 11th with my boyfriend. Boyfriend's first trip (well he went a few times when he was 3 or 4 years old but doesn't remember them!)

I CANT WAIT! :thumbsup2

I'm going to be there with the family (DW and three little girls, ages 6, 4, 1) from May 25-31. Our first time at SOG, also. We all visited Disneyland Resort Paris last summer, but this will be my girls' first trip to WDW. And although my wife and I have both been there before, it's been so long it feels like the first time for us as well. On the other hand, thanks to the DISboards, I feel like I know the place like the back of my hand.

Found it. We (myself, DH, Granddaughter, DS, his girlfriend, her DD and a friend of my sons) will be there from May 21-27. COME ON MAY!!!!!!

Am I the only one who hasn't made any ADRs yet? There seem to be a lot of DISers who call the exact minute their 180-day mark hits.

My sister and I will be there May 9-17. Also our first time staying at Shades of Green.

We've been doing an annual trip since '01 and have stayed at Port of Orleans Riverside and Coronado Springs.

As for ADR's, I haven't made any yet either, but we are not on the dining plan this year and have decided to basically eat counter service meals the entire trip. I'm thinking we might have one lunch and one dinner at a table service, just not sure which one yet. I'm thinking I really want to try Yak and Yeti though.

We'll be there may 5th through the 9th:yay: :yay:
It will be our first trip and I cant believe how easy it was to book ! I always thought it was really hard to get into. I booked my ADR's but did it at around 80 days out , i had know idea it was such a big deal till i found this website, i didnt reallly have any trouble getting them (CM ohana and biergarten) Anyone else have 5 or 2 yr old, maybe we'll see you at the pool , my ds5 loves to make friends

This is somewhat of a last minute trip for us so I just got done making my ADR's this weekend ! :thumbsup2

I got almost everything I wanted so I'm happy !

Hi Maggied ! You'll have to give us a trip report when you get back !

What section do you like to stay in the best ?

What section do you like to stay in the best ?

We always request the older section.. we usually ask to by the Magnolia pool. This time we are paying the extra for a poolside room. Here is why...we like the older section because we like the small 3/4 walls they have in them. I have two teenagers... my DD is 18 and my DS is 15... it gives us a little more privacy. We like the area by the pool for a couple of reasons.... my son and husband love to golf and spends a lot of time on the putting green ...staying poolside by the Magnolia pool I can see them on the putting green... my DD likes to lay out by the pool... also it is close to the lobby area, close to the AAFES store and to the bus stop. The furniture may not be as new as in the newer section but the refrig is bigger and the rooms are clean... so it works for us.

Anyone else in may requesting a connecting room?? I'm just seeking out my competition..lol:love:

We are going this weekend Mar 14th... First time stay at SOG. I have heard so many nice things about it. Hope you all have a nice trip!

Add us to the list! Myself, DH and our 2 DDs ages 5 & 3 1/2! We can't wait!!

We'll be there May 3-15, in a poolside ground floor room. We wanted ground floor so that DH and I could sit outside while the girls slept (for naps and in the evening), and DH will be able to walk from the patio to get us drinks and snacks. This way, he won't have to come through the room and disturb the girls. We were in a ground floor room at the Polynesian on our first family trip, and did this nearly every day/night!

This will be our second stay at SOG. Our last was in November of 2006, and we were in the new section. It was nice because we were close to the parking garage, and it was new, but we are wanting to guarentee a ground floor this time (last time we were on 3rd or 4th I think).

About connecting rooms. When we went last time, we went with another family and requested connecting rooms when we made our reservation (about 6 months out). We checked in at about 2:00 and were able to get the connecting rooms (but not ground floor). For that trip having connecting rooms was the higher priority, so we were very happy. We just put all of the kids to sleep in the same room in the evening, and the adults were able to stay up and visit in the other room (keeping the connecting door open, obviously). Worked great!

We thought about the poolside room but decided against it. I think we are going to request a room in the older section. Traveling with two kids - I need to be close to the pool. I also like the idea of the fridge being larger.
