I am currently at Wilderness Lodge at the end of Oct/beginning of Nov. Was considering switching to the Poly.....then I started seeing threads on these boards that were making me a little nervous.

What are your thoughts? If staying at between Oct 30-Nov 5 are you concerned or do you think renovations will be limited and unobtrusive?

I personally am not worried. I saw the GF construction and while an eyesore, they kept it pretty contained. But, I am also not too too concerned about my view either. I have standard view booked.

Not worried at all. Just booked the Poly for early November.

I am a little worried, we will be there 10/26 to 11/2 :worried: We started started at Caribbean Beach, then was able to switch to Port Orleans Riverside, and then I decided, ah heck! It's only money right?! :rotfl: Let's do a Theme Park View room at Poly! A week later.... I start seeing info about construction. I am not pleased about the construction, and possibly lack of a good TPV room but I'm just gonna hope for the best. By the way, I called Disney reservations, who told me there shouldn't be "too much" construction going on, "huge cranes or anything", but suggested I call Poly "front desk". What a joke! She didn't even know what buildings have TPV rooms! Seriously! How can she be at the front desk and not even know which buildings have theme park view rooms?!? :confused3 Therefore, I'm sure she was just at another call center. Tikiman has excellent resources on any new info at Poly. Check out his website/Facebook page!

We had Poly booked for early Nov and have changed resorts due to the possible construction issues. The construction might not be too bad, so it was a difficult decision for us. In the end, though, we were worried mostly about noise during the day preventing naps for the infant and toddler that we have with us. If just adults we would probably have stayed with the poly and taken our chances.

Most people seem to be going to the Poly anyway and hoping for the best. We weighed the worst case scenario and decided that it was not worth the risk for us.

We have booked poly for the 1st time our dates are 28th October till the 12th November!
I'm so disappointed about the situation with the construction as I doubt we will stay at poly again for a long time! And really wanted to enjoy the beauty of the resort :( all I can hope is if its too bad they will move us!
