anyone stayed on Shelter Island

Has anyone stayed anywhere on Shelter Island? Specifically Bay Club Marina? Looks to have decent hotel reviews, but I would love to get a Dis'ers opinion please.

So many years ago. I like Shelter Island. It feels like a vacation spot. Bay Club didn't exist then, but you can find reviews on www.tripadvisor.com.

I am also looking at Bay Club for a trip next year. It seems to get great reviews from Trip Advisor.

I am actually at Shelter Island right now. It's quiet but it seems to be quiet a ways from downtown. If you look out you can see the san diego skyline.

I so recommend Shelter Island. It took about 10 minutes to get to downtown but it is quiet and beautiful.

Best Western. All of the hotels there are only 2 stories.

We have reservations at the Best Western Island Palms Hotel? Is it the same hotel that you stayed at? If so, what did you think of it? I've seen mixed reviews about it so I was just wondering.

I had no problems with it at all. Quiet. Except they were repaving the road in front of the hotel. Just request a room away from the pool cause omg the kids at night were noisy. We were right outside the pool.
