We are booked in a Cat. 1 for next summer (8030) on the Magic. Has anyone ever stayed in one of these? I'm surprising the family with it. They know we're going, but not about the suite. We have cruised before on the Magic, but have never been in a room like this. Any thoughts?

No thoughts, but if you want to adopt someone else into your family let me know!!

Besides your family is very lucky and can you adopt me and mine as well???

Actually we are on your cruise as well, maybe we can hold the DIS meet in your suite?

One of the Cindy's stayed in Walt's Suite (I think its the one at the stern of the boat). Maybe she's still on the "boards."

Had All "Diser's" up to the Room.. :teeth:

Bethipooh,

Maybe we can plan a get-together there with all the posters during the cruise. It would be nice to put some faces with the names.

Yes, I have stayed in The Roy O Disney suite and this coming October I will be staying in The Walt Disney suite. ( and yes, I'm spoiled :rotfl2: )

What questions do you have? I will do my best to answer them for you.

Wow, that would be so awesome of you and your family to do.

We are over here in Goldsboro, NC. Dh's family is in Salisbury.

We have stayed in the Walt suite. do you have any specific questions?

It is amazing!!! We have stayed 3 times in cat 1 and once in a cat 4. You do spend more time in the room because it is fantastic! I'd be happy to answer any questions you have.

Beth

We haven't stayed in it but our great friends have. They spoiled us rotten! What a terrific experience. Congrats! You will have a blast.

Ok, HOW do you get one of these suites. The only answer I've ever gotten when trying to reserve it is that it is unavailable. Do you have to go on the wait list and hope, has anyone been able to just book one? :confused3

8030 is The Walt Disney suite.

As to how do you get one of these rooms....we've been luckey (and it doesn't hurt to have friends for crew staff) We were scheduled for a cat. 2 (last October) our Dreams rep called and asked if we'd like to bump to the Roy Suite! Um YEAH...no brainer!!! :rotfl2: (we had been on the wait list for like 2 years I believe). Then while on-board last October, we were looking to re-book and Danielle told us that the Walt Suite was available for the Oct. 29 cruise...SOLD BABY!!! I guess it depends on the time of year you want to travel in...we've been very luckey!

Any other questions, and I'd be happy to answer them for you.

Oh man! I asked Danielle... I guess we just don't have enough pixie dust on us! :)

We were lucky enough to book it ourselves the first time by calling dcl, but since then have been put on a waitlist by our TA. Last year we did not get the Roy suite-had cat 2- until right before sailing. We also got a call---could you possibly say no?

we stayed in the Walt Disney Suite last summer (8030) and in a category 3 the summer before (room 8534). We would have booked cat 1 for the first cruise too, but it wasn't available (they're hard to get).

Both were beautiful, but of course the Walt Disney Suite is unbelievable.
And it's true, my husband and I would have been happy just to stay in the room the entire time.
By the way, the Walt Disney Suite (8030) has a baby grand piano (my daughter especially loved that).

Enjoy!
