Anyone stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando?

My parents and I just booked a Christmas trip and we'll be staying at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes from 12/24/08 - 12/30/08. SO excited!! I know almost all of the resort info on here is about WDW hotels, so I was curious if anyone has stayed at the Ritz and has any feedback? Thanks!!

I stayed there 18 months ago for a company trip. It is a very large hotel as it is attached to the JW Marriot by a breezwway. It was very nice. The grounds are beautiful. You should have a great time.

We stayed at the JW Marriott. It's all lovely. You may want to bring your own inflatable swim rings for the lazy pool, even though they were only $5 when we were there in June.

I just saw your post. A bit late. We stayed there a few years ago. The rooms are lovely and the grounds are gorgeous!

We did not like that there's only valet parking. The Marriott has self parking. I just hate valet parking somewhere like Orlando. Like there isn't room to park your own car....getting off pet peeve now!

The pools are fantastic. The food was pretty bad, which is a shame.

But it's a really lovely place. I would go back!
