anyone stayed at the hilton grand vacation club?

We stayed there Nov/Dec 2002. We really enjoyed our stay! It was our first experience in a 2 bdrm villa (we're always on a budget and usually stay in budget hotels, LOL) and we were really impressed. I *think* we were in the Warwick building, on the top floor (6th) overlooking a smaller pool. We were so busy at the themeparks and otherwise running around that we didn't take advantage of the hotel's amenities, like the big pool or scheduled activities, but it was nice to know they were there if we were interested.

This Dec. we are staying at Orange Lake and are hoping for another great experience!! :D

enjoy the resort. More & more I realize that we should calm down and take advantage of the resort and the amenities.

We stayed in Building 4 - Rembroke - very nice - they were building 5 Sandy's at the time

if you want a main pool Somerset building 2

if you want a quiet pool Paget building 9

Well, it looks like you're used to WDW deluxe resorts. I, on the other hand, am usually relegated to the budget-type hotels due to budget constraints--LOL!! That said, we felt as if we were living in the lap of luxury! But the HGVC is probably somewhere between a moderate and upscale resort. Our particular unit was roomy and clean--the kitchen was newer and the appliances were in good condition, including the washer/dryer. We had a large jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom.

We would stay there again in a heartbeat if we could get the deal we got last year...anyway, hopefully someone who has stayed in other deluxe resorts and HGVC will post and give you a better comparison.

HGVC is an upscale timeshare resort, not unlike the Marriott resorts. Enjoy your stay!!! :)

HGVC is right across the street from Sea World. It's a busy street, so I wouldn't walk across it! We took a look at the resort in November and it's beautiful - and a big resort. And it's a great location. I'm sure you'll like it.

this is definitely a deluxe resort - it is a timeshare and hilton does them like Disney - excellent.

I happen to thing that Marriott Vacation Club is upscale too - Marriott's Grande Vista Resort is pretty deluxe.

Loved my stay in both and we are going back in October to the HGVC.

Just so there is no confusion, I wrote that Hilton's resort is not unlike (i.e., similar to) Marriott's, meaning both are upscale. Hope that's clearer. :)

We stayed there in Feb 2002. Very nice place. Upscale, beautifully decorated and landscaped. Nice pools. You'll like and you can walk to Sea World as long as it doesn't rain.
