We need more room than a hotel room. Would like a separate bedroom, kitchen and a balcony, villa is a bit out of our price range. Also want to be close to all the action, so this looks, location wise, fab. Anybody been or got any good photos of the rooms?

If you are looking to be close to Universal, the location looks great. If you are thinking Disney, with all of the traffic, I think you can do better. If you look at my signature, we just got back and stayed at a Sheraton property in a one bedroom. It was 800+ sq./ft., full kitchen and washer and dryer. We paid less than $850 (total) for 6 nights over the July 4th week. The deal was for a non housekeeping unit (no big deal for us). The only thing I'd point out, is that when you book, note the square footage. They also have one bedrooms that are closer to 500 sq./ft. for the exact same price as the one we got--just pick the larger one. Then I'd request the St. Augustine section (newest built).

It was very close to Sea World as well as less than 2 miles from Disney's gates (easy access once you knew not to take Vineland anywhere). Great resort and accommodations. We own DVC, but were out of points and found this to be a very nice option for a non-DVC stay.

Hope this helps. PM me if you want me to send you some pictures or something.

We got back on Sunday. Didn't really fancy the Enclave but needed somewhere where my DH could smoke plus a seperate bedroom for the boys 17 and 20. Agreed to stay there but only if we had a terrace 2 bed suite.

Arrived and no terrace for the first night so they upgraded us to a full breakfast ( don't bother... food on floor, no PLASTIC cutlery and no seats!).
Moved next day to top floor terrace. Loved the terrace.... table, 7 seats. 3 sunbeds and room for the same again. Universal fireworks in one direction and Disney in the other. Sat out every morning with tea, croissant and kindle.

Kithchen had full size fridge with freezer part, coffee maker, dish washer,2 ring hob and small oven come grill ( took forever to heat up).

Loved having seperate lounge with door to terrace plus one from master bedroom plus 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Didn't get grumpy/impatient if someone wanted a lie in as I could sit on terrace overlooking Wet n Wild watching Rip Ride Rocket at Universal.

Free shuttle to some of the parks but book by 12 the day before.

All in all the rooms are tired looking which is a shame but they are individually owned so some are better than others. Our terrace was great and we could walk to Universal if we didn't want to take the car ( $15 parking)....$10 for taxi booked at desk for one way.

Would love a villa or 2 bed suite at bottom of I drive but we like parking the car at night and walking to the restaurants.

Was also tempted by the Sonesta ES Suites near the old Mercado but they're only just being refurbished. They do a 2 bed apartment with 3 double beds and free breakfast, however our terrace was great.

PM me if you have any more questions. x
