Anyone stayed at Radisson Maingate?

If anyone has stayed at the Radisson Maingate recently could you tell me what is was like, rooms etc, how far a walk from the park and the best route and any pics and anything else I should know?

I wouldn't really call it recently but I did stay there last October with my DSis and her friend. The rooms were nicely sized, there was more than enough room for all our stuff (and I am an over packer AND like to buy a lot of souvies!). And it was nice and clean and the bathroom was nice and big. There is a parking fee per night if you have a car. We drove to the park because my DSis' friend had a broken foot but it's easily within walking distance if you prefer to walk rather than drive. I'm not sure of the exact distance but I'd guess about 3/4 of a mile to the main gate. I think I should also mention that they were doing some construction on the floor above us but they didn't really start anything until about 9 am. I was impatiently waiting to leave at that time so it wasn't a bother to me but I heard it from the rest of my party. (if they would have been ready to leave a half hour before then like they were supposed to then they wouldn't have heard it at all )

Thanks for the info, trip advisor has mixed reviews but as we only sleep and shower in the rooms we should be ok!!

We looked at staying there for our trip last month, but I believe they charged for parking there, per day. It really wasn't walking distance for us, so I didn't want to have to pay for parking for a place that wasn't very close (or at all really, stinks that they want to charge you at all to park your car there!).

As we are not driving the parking fee doesn't bother us and a walk to the park in the morning will be nice and we can get the ART home (and to the prk if tired).
