This is our First Family Trip and we are staying at Orange Lake Resort! I almost wish we were staying at a Disney Resort now...after reading about all the great things at Disney Resorts. o-well there is always next year!! Has anyone else stayed here?? Would like to hear about it if you have~ Thanks :grouphug:

We stayed there probably about 10 or more years ago...before kids. It was OK, nothing special, but sufficient space wise. My brother and his family stayed there last month and enjoyed it. However, they are not theme park addicts like we are and only went to WDW 3 days during their 9 day trip. We belong to DVC and love it! The advantages to staying on Disney property are many and I don't think we'd ever stay off site again. ::MinnieMo

You'll love it there. Go to Orlando Area Hotels for more info on this place. It's huge! It's got a great little pool/splash/area. Honestly, you can spend an entire week here and never go to the parks and have a great time.

We're hoping to stay here next April, we have friends who have visited and love it. I personally prefer staying off site having done both, I feel you get so much more space and a nicer room for your money :)

We stayed there for our honeymoon 7 years ago and it was PERFECT.

We took a tour of OLCC on our last trip, Aug 2003. It's really nice.

Needless to say, we're staying at OLCC for our upcoming trip in a couple of weeks.!

The hurricanes last year caused a delay in the completion date of OLCC's 12-acre water park. It was supposed to be ready in May but now it's projected to be ready in the fall.

Because we have family going with us this trip we booked a 3BR villa.

OLCC is 1 of 3 resorts in the Orlando area that has a Disney Planning Center on-site. The DPC is staffed with WDW cast members.

OLCC was founded by Kemmons Wilson, the founder of Holiday Inn. Being a Memphian and, thus, very familiar with KW and his family, I have high expectations of the quality and service level of the resort.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation. I bet you'll be very pleased with OLCC.

We stayed there on are first trip to Disney four years ago. I loved the place. It was clean well maintained and the pools for kids where wonderful. Although I prefer to stay at Disney is was nice to get away from all the crowds and really relax :rotfl:
