Looking for a good place to visit this summer for short family vacation. This place looks nice, does anyone have any info to share? We are thinking about a four day stay in the club level. If anyone has stayed there either using points or cash, I would love to hear what you have to say about it!

Charleston Place is one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in, and I have had the pleasure of staying at several Ritz Carltons and have spent time at all the top hotels in Manhattan.

I just spent several days there on business around St. Patrick's day. The club level is on the 6th and 7th floor of the hotels. You are given an elevator key as it is restricted access to those floors. You have access to a concierge dedicated strictly to club level guests. There is also a cocktail hour that is included within your room rate.

All rooms are elegantly appointed. A pair of bathrobes is provided for your comfort. Toiletries provided are first rate. A complimentary shoeshine and newspaper is included as well. The pool is indoor/outdoor, depending on the weather at the time of your visit.

The hotel itself is centrally located within downtown Charleston, accessible to all of the fine restaurants that grace this beautiful city. There are many shops attached to the hotel, including Gap, Laura Ashley and Walden Books. As you can tell, I am absolutely endorsing this hotel and city. If you have any other questions, please feel free to e-mail me at maxnandrew@cs.com. :)

The Charleston Place is fabulous! We go to Charleston every year in Feb., and have stayed at several of the better large hotels. CP is by far the nicest, best kept, and most centrally located. We have been fortunate enough to stay on the Club level and were very impressed. They had continental breakfast, high tea, and evening cocktails (all complimentary). The town is also wonderful, with lots of shopping, art, and history. Enjoy!Sus:)

We used to live in Mt Pleasant, which is across the river from Charleston. My DH is Air Force and was stationed there. I never stayed at Charleston Place, but I did go inside the hotel several times and it is absolutely beautiful.

During the last week of May (I think), they hold an art fest in Charleston. There are all kinds of shows, plays and exhibits. It's worth looking in to.

Thanks everyone! I am going to call MS on Monday and try to book a July stay. After reading all the wonderful things you have said about the hotel, I am really looking forward to going! :)
