Anyone stayed at Castle Inn & Suites/other similar close suite hotels?

This is only our 2nd time to DL, we're going Aug. 1-5. The 1st time a travel agent arranged the whole thing, this time I'm giving it a shot. I would really like to find a 2 room suite so that my 16-year-old can have his space from his uncool parents and 9-year old sis. I also want to keep the cost under $125 a night, be close to DL, and have a decent pool area. Continental breakfast would be great, but I'm starting to give in on that one. I actually have reservations right now at the Desert Inn & SUites for exactly the kind of room I want, but after reading about that scary experience with the credit card by another poster, I'm leaning (strongly) towards changing accomodations. I tried to get a suite at Hojo, but apparently there aren't many and they go fast. The Best Western Park Place Inn mini suite sounds really good, but the rate is a bit higher than I wanted. Does anyone know of a way to get a better rate there?

Over the past few years I have not read many good reviews of the Castle Inn and Suites.
The Desert Inn was great when I stayed there 10 years ago but I would be wary of the way the management handled the "credit card" issue as posted in another thread/on another board.
The Park Place Inn was great but the mini suites only have a half wall between the living area and bedroom. It would not give the teen his space.
The Park Inn Near Park Place Inn has a few suites. The Desertr Palm Inn and Suites has lots of Suites as well and much of it is brand new.

I fear you're right about the CI & S; since posting this, I've read several more negative reviews about it.

Isn't this hotel much further away from Disney's main gate?

Thanks for the info--it helps!
