Anyone stayed at Bonnet Creek recently?

I was just wondering if there's anyone who has stayed at Fairfield Bonnet Creek recently. Just wondering what the shuttle service is like (what times/how often). Also, what stage in the building process are they in?

Any info would be great! We're leaving in just under three weeks for our honeymoon!

I would also be interested if anyone has ever stayed at Bonnet Creek. Very curious about the transportation system. Also curious about whether it is walking distance to Epcot. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

I would say NO to walking to Epcot. I haven't been back in there to see how long the driveway is, but just from driving by, it's a bit of a distance. Also don't recall sidewalks, though they may have been there. Florida is not very pedestrian friendly. You'd be crossing at least one very busy street.

The free shuttle service leaves a few times each morning and returns a few times each evening. You are supposed to reserve your space on it, the day before. Don't know more than that about the schedules for each park. A car will give you much more flexibility and convenience. Some people take the shuttle bus but if they miss their return time, they use Disney transport to reach the BoardWalk, then a pretty cheap taxicab ride back to the Bonnet Creek resort - it's very near by (2 minute drive?) but not at all safe to walk along the busy highway without sidewalks.

As for the building status... the main recreation building and pool area/mini-golf are open as well as 2 tower buildings of condos along the lake's edge.

For anyone interested, Fairfield Resorts has added more photos and video clips to their resorts' webpages - just search the company's resorts to find what you want. You can watch them with dial-up or broadband and see what they look like for yourself.
