What's the closest grocery store to the Vistana, and also how are the restaurants in the resort? Oh and 1 more things how is the rec. center is there activities for the kids?

plenty of activities for kids - so don't worry about that.

there is both a Publix and Walmart not far. Just DON'T shop in the closest grocery store.

to get to walmart - just go out of the resort turn right - about mile (might be 2 mile) you will see Walmart on your right - kinda of behind the Hess gas station.

the Publix - turn left - at Vineland Road turn right (besides Holiday Inn Express) - before this roads ends at ID - there is a publix to your left.

The two sit-down restaurants at the resort are not bad. They are Zimmies and Flamingo Cafe. Vistana used to post the menu on their website. Since the website update a year or so ago, it's no longer there. I emailed them about that and they said they have no plans to post them again.
From what I can remember, they have a good selection. Usually burgers, salads, chicken fingers, fried chicken family dinner, then they offer some Carribbean and Floridian themed dishes. We had a grilled grouper dish one time that was very good. Prices are probably on par with an Outback or Bennigans. All restaurants, including the Pizza Hut, offer delivery right to your room for a $3 charge (plus optional tip).

Certain nights the resort offers themed family "all you can eat" meals. One time we were there they had a BBQ....another night they had a Mexican Fiesta style party out by the pool with all you can eat.

Activities range : Teen Jam, Casino Night, Dive-in movie nights.......for the little ones, they have the Lil Gator Club which hosts pajama parties or pizza parties etc. I've seen pool games on some days. There is a good amount of activities.
