Anyone stay at the Sheraton Anaheim lately?

Thinking of staying there during next month's trip. Stayed there about 5-6 years ago and remember the rooms being quite large and decent service. Reviews from '03 I have read, state it is sorely in need of renovation. Thanks

I, too am a Starwood Preferred Guest member.
I wish I had something to report on this property. I think I read recently on these boards (or Laughing Place.com) that some folks had a real pleasant stay there and that the shuttle was timely and reliable and the driver was super friendly and full of interesting info...anyone remember that thread? Also that the rooms were real spacious. I hope someone else with more experience replies. Sorry

Last time we stayed there was about 2 years ago. We stayed on points and wanted connecting rooms, so we were put in a building toward the back. I think the hotel was near sold out. The rooms are huge. The beds were very uncomfortable. I think that they were in the process of remodeling some of the buildings then.

The shuttle was great--no problem there at all!

I would probably stay again and request a remodeled room.

Have you looked on tripadvisor.com for recent reviews?

I just got onto Tripadvisor and the reviews were pretty good. I believe it ranked 15th out of 105 hotels. DH and I are planning a no kids weekend in August in DL (will be in San Diego on business earlier in the week) so we shall see. I'll post a report when I get back! Incidentally, I was able to get a $109 rate for this hotel, you can't beat that.
