Our family will be staying at Mystic Dunes Resort in a 2BR, 2 Bath room in May this year. Has anyone ever stayed here or any owners out there willing to share their experiences at the resort? We are DVC owners but had this free week to stay at either here or the Liki Tiki and we chose Mystic Dunes ... hoping we made the right choice! On a recent trip in February, we drove over to see the resort and looked around and went in and received a resort map, place looked really nice and everyone was extremely friendly. Just wondering if any DISer's have been here before!

Thanks and have magical day:wizard:

We were thinking about doing the same thing next Feb. I have friends who stayed there and they said it was one of the nicest resorts they have stayed in. How did you get the free week? In Feb. we tourned Liki Tiki resort it was nice but not as nice as Windsor Hills. Hope this helps a little.

We were there in November and really enjoyed it. We stayed in the 2 bedroom as well. Plenty of room for the kids to spread out and run around.

We managed to get a free week there after touring a resort in Williamsburg Virginia last year, one of those come see my time share thing, which we enjoyed but did not purchase, and we got this as a perk for doing it. They gave us choices as to where to stay, some places I never heard of before, and some were just not up to what we are used to since we are DVC members, you kindof get spoiled by Disney's accomodations so you compare everything to it! The resort is located right off of 192, closer to AK if I remember correctly. The address is 7900 Mystic Dunes Lane, Celebration, FL 34747-2501. Their website is www.mystic-dunesresort.com. Its also one of those time share places but we do not have to sit through another viewing since we already did that in the Virginia trip we took. They are not done building it yet and only the main entrance is open ... I think its near the Windsor Hills or Rolling Hills housing area ...don't quote me on that one though! We passed so many housing areas that we have heard of before so I may have not named the right ones!

was wondering if you could share how your trip went to Mystic Dunes. We are also DVC owners but got a "free" week by an exchange with Interval at Mystic Dunes in a 3 bedroom Villa.

We will be staying at the Boardwalk first and then onto Mystic Dunes. If you could please share how it went for you. I have a day to cancel Mystic Dunes and trying to find out what I can. :) Thanks

We stayed here many times (5 or 6x) when it was Wyndham Palms back in 2004. The rooms are huge, around 1400 sq ft., full kitchen, washer and dryer, jacuzzi tubs in the master bedroom, and a nice screened porch. We had roaches once (the big FL kind) but other than that no complaints with the rooms at all (especially for $85 a night, which was the last minute special we always got). The facilities outside the room were ok...a putt putt golf and couple of pools but not the best and the staff seemed a little unfriendly, not like staying on site. If you want a nice room but not worried about the other facilities this is the place to go. It was perfect for us as a get away for a couple of weeks when Hurricane Ivan was hitting our house back home.

ntz4disney ~ Thanks so much for your help!

ntz4disney is at Mystic Dunes right now and has been kind enough to take the time to answer some of my concerns/questions. Thanks again! :)
