Was looking to go to the Kalahari in February, but prices are still high. Saw an all inclusive deal at Chula Vista for only $100 more which includes all meals and drinks. I haven't ever stayed there so I need input on the resort/waterpark. Would an 11 and 9 year old like it??

Your kids are young enough to enjoy Chula Vista but it doesn't even compare to how much more fun Kalahari is. Kalahari in my opinion is the best water park in the dells. In the spring/fall Hotel Rome is awsome with the go carts and roller coasters included. HTH

If you are not too choosey on your Kalahari dates, try this:

We called and booked under the Don White block on Monday and got great deals for the Feb weekend. Only issue is it is Superbowl weekend. But there are a lot of other dates and rooms are very reasonable.

We've been to Chula Vista several times. For my younger kids it is fine and I suspect yours will enjoy it too if you are going for only a day or two. Any longer than that and they'd probably be bored. It is MUCH smaller than Kalahari but also can be good because they've never really had to wait in much of a line to ride any of the slides. There is no indoor wave pool and few indoor slides although the ones they do have are fun. We enjoy getting their condo rooms. They are usually much cheaper so makes a good weekend trip.

We stayed at a condo at Chula Vista and loved it. We also got a third night for free for going to a time share things. It has it's own kitchen, two bedrooms, a dining room and living room. The price was right at the time also. I personally didn't see what all the fuss was about the Kalahari. Our room was a sand room and we were so far away from the pool and everything. I subscribe to both websites to get the deals.

I wrote a review on trip advisor. You can find other reviews about it there also.
