Anyone started Christmas shopping yet? What, Where and for who?

I hadn't heard of the Nerd Blocks until someone here brought it up -- I went and ordered DS18 a 3-month subscription to the Sci Fi Block. I'm going to put Oct, Nov & Dec away and he'll have something to open Christmas morning. They also had a deal where you could add another block for a minimal fee, so I added a "Classic" block. Now I need to get him some euros (going to Rome in January), and start banging off his gift cards. Plus his stocking, haven't given that any thought yet...he's a freshman in college so he doesn't have a ton of room in his dorm. It's better to give him "stuff" that he can leave at home, and gift cards to use away.

I need to renew a subscription for my DH, and then I will have to try to come up with some other gifts. Not sure what I want this year, either. I think we're going for 5-6 gifts for each person to open, which is way down for us from pre-college

This thread is helping to motive me. Sister: done: one of our radio station does a deal on the 3 rd Thursday of each month there was one for her favorite restaurant.

So far : Got DD the from the same site, give $15 receive 4 coupons that can be used at one time if wanted for 4 entries to a movie and a free pop and popcorn.
She will be 18, so I thinking 5 gift cards. Different movie theater. Panda Express. Family video, she likes to buy DVDs from there. Bowling. And one more.
Got her marvel pajamas today got a marvel top couple,weeks back. Will get a college sweatshirt for where she will choose to go. Got more clearance pjs prior. Unsure what else.

Everyones stockings are usually food snacks and small misc things.

DS 15: Clearance PJs so far. A deal that someone had on here months ago for Xbox live script for a year. 5 gift cards.: Movie theater. Pizza place. Maybe paintball day. Nike sweatshirt. Unsure what else.

DH, we do not get each other a lot. I decided a pizza theme for his gift cards. I got a large tall shirt from penny's as soon as the fall clothes came out. Today from kohls got him Dallas Cowboys shorts and a t shirt to sleep in. With coupon mensale10, $10 off purchase over $50. Also used trick15 and $10 kohls cash and I got free shipping to the house.

Mom I am going to tell her stop in her favorite garden shop and let me know if she she sees a few things she likes. DD did a free tote for her from shutterfly.

I have started making Holiday shopping lists and searching for great coupons and toys clearance at major stores. I am planning to get the bulk of my holiday shopping done on Black Friday. So, let's see how it goes.

I found a Roku for half off at Walmart (Roku 1) and at Target (Roku 2). My husband really likes the one he just got but keeps moving it between TVs. I'm sure he'd like a second one!

He also wants a new BluRay and a new phone, so I think I'll be doing the Black Friday thing. That's pretty reliable for a decent BluRay deal.

If anyone likes to put snacks into stockings, there is a Target Cartwheel for 40% off HELLO bites (5.3 oz packages). They are also on sale for $3.99 each, so with the cartwheel they are $2.39 each before tax. Not a bad deal. I picked the Toffee and Mint flavors for DDs stocking since she likes this brand (but then again, she pretty much likes any brand of chocolate!). The packages have extra air pumped into them to keep the bites from crushing, so they help fill up a fair amount of space

ETA: The packages I picked up were dated well into 2017, so there shouldn't be an issue with picking them up this early.

Target has $25 off $100 in toys coupon. Bought GD the $99 furry connect (eek) & added in a Bop-it game and a book. Had promo GCs to lower further and ran it all thru CC for rewards.

If I see it come out cheaper on BF will return it lol but she wanted a specific color so not holding my breath there it'll pop up.

Bought a bunch of Giant Eagle gift cards when on promotion. Find it interesting that I can then purchase specific GCs too for gifting or utilizing shopping there, never realized it.

I bought a little something for myself...I remembered that last year I waited too long and the Disney site was out of the Belle sketchbook ornament by the time I decided to pull the trigger. the local Disney Store was out, too. I collect Belle ornaments so I was bummed...The site already has the 2 for $12/each promotion and new ornaments up. I purchased 2 Belle ornaments! It's like Christmas, they never have more than 1 and they had 3

I got my niece the American Girl mega bloks set from Target. It is on sale this week for $60 and they have the $10 off $50 or $25 off $100. I went ahead and bought my great niece a dancing piano mat and an american girl craft item to get up to $100 so I could get the full $25 off.

I also received the Alex & Ani bracelets in the mail today that I ordered awhile back. I got initial bracelets for 2 nieces, 1 girlfriend of nephew and an anchor bracelet for oldest DD. I also picked a few more out for gifts, but they were out of the ones I wanted, so I'm going to keep checking there and other places that carry Alex & Ani and hope that they show up somewhere. One is the pineapple bracelet. My mom loves charm bracelets, so I think she would like the Alex and Ani and we took a family trip to Hawaii this summer and she loved the dole plantation. I thought it would be a fun reminder of the trip!

I started in September, as I've done every year since I became a mom.

I always end up w sooo many gifts, and don't feel the financial stress. I just keep all of the receipts to keep track of my spending.

Also: my kid's birthday is in January, so I just use some of the surplus (usually end up w slightly too many) gifts a birthday gifts!

DD16 loved playing it with her cousins and it will be great for show choir trips. It's an easy game and a cross between telephone and Pictionary.
