DH and I are thinking of possibly going to dw for thanksgiving (tues - sun). We would want to stay at the BWV, but I know we probably won't be able to get a studio, (we own at okw, so we're looking at 7 month window)
Did anyone spend Thanksgiving at VWL last year? and did you like it, we visited VWL in september just to take a look around, and we really liked them, but I'm wondering with crowds so high over that weekend, did it take extra long to get to the parks?? and does the ferry to the Cont run late???

Thanks! Bottom line, do you think we would enjoy VWL for thanksgiving??? :)

yes it is a beautiful resort - I just stayed there transportation was wonderful - easier than driving (I can't believe I am saying that). but remember the new system will be up and running (hopefully) by then. the bus to epcot came after a 10 minute wait, (didn't ride the bus to MGM), the bus to dd was a 12 minute wait. I think the boats were running until 10:00pm when I was there.

We stayed in the regular rooms and it was perfect. The Christmas tree was up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. To me WL is a perfect place for a "winter" trip. They have the cocoa and marshmallows for your refillable mug in Roaring Forks and the fireplaces are a great touch. That week was a bit cool last year so it was perfect for the weather! I would think you would have a great experience there. We did not have any trouble with transportation, although my husband still prefers BWV for the ease in walking to Epcot and boating to MGM.
