Anyone shop at Aldi?

The Aldi grocery store chain is making a big push into north Texas. There are 3 new stores within 15 minutes of the house that are set to open shortly. I checked them out online and it looks like they sell both brand name and private label goods in a warehouse setting. Anyone have any experience with them?

I don't know that they have "brand names". I think they use their own brands. But I love the prices and quality at Aldi. The stores I have seen in Florida are small maybe 5-6 isles so you can't do all your shopping there, but I can get a good bit done. Meat, produce, can goods, bread, cereal and pasta. Bring your own bags and a quarter to "rent" a shopping cart ( you get the quarter back when you are done shopping).

We have cart vultures around our Aldis - people who lurk by the carts waiting for some unsuspecting shopper to leave and offer to take their cart for them - then they return it and keep the quarter. It's a tough way to make a living.
