anyone seen the "bumper cars" thing? - help

when i went randomly into a guest room i saw the most amazing thing. people were riding around on different ride cars with out any tracks. the owner had start pieces set up at the side and when a person would get on then click on another part of the room, there they went off the track riding around the room. if anyone knows how this is done please let me know. i keep testing different things but cant figure it out.

This was a glitch a couple of days ago. Totally fun, but alas, VMK fixed the "problem". Now we are without bumper cars. Boo!
