The show is every Sunday through June & I was wondering if anyone knew if it was appropriate for children? It starts @ 7:00 pm (not late like most shows which might have inappropriate material for kids). None of us have ever seen a hypnosis/comic in person & would love to try it, but we'll have our 11 yr old DS & DD with us and wouldn't want to be "surprised" by any adult material in the act. :p (Although if you were to ask the kids, they would say "We already know about all that stuff mom!") Ahem...yeah right, i think not!

Yes, we've seen it. It was very, very tame. Not to worry, it is appropriate for children. A few kids were even hypnotized in the show (6th grade and 3rd grade).

It was almost too tame for us. It really wasn't that funny and went on a bit too long - it dragged quite a bit. A joke that might have been funny with one hypnotized person wasn't as funny by the time it got to the fifth or sixth hypnotized person. It really got a luke warm reception with very few laughs, but perhaps Doug changes things up a bit, and you'll have better luck. We wouldn't do it again.

I've been to other hypnotist shows, and they have the potential to be way funny, but I think this was the worst one I've ever seen. :(

Appreciate your input again Jodie.....I may have to hire you as a travel agent! :D You're probably right about this being too tame for DH & I, but I may still consider it for the kids as they are easily entertained.;)

Yes, I'm sure the kids will like it, and don't get me wrong, it did have a moment or two! In fact, we were sitting next to a 3rd-grader who tried to be hypnotized, but didn't get all the way there, and Doug sent him back to the audience. He really loved the show.

If you think your kids might want to try to be hypnotized, tell them about it before hand so that they can be ready as soon as he calls for volunteers to go up on stage. There really isn't time to think about whether you want to or not -- the stage will fill up pretty quickly with volunteers soon after the announcement.

We did get a kick out of a peanut of a sixth grade girl who seemed like she knew how to drive a stick shift when Doug had everyone on stage turn their chairs into the front seat of a car.

Plan on getting there 30-45 minutes before the show starts if you want good seats. Any later than that, and you may be stuck on the sides with a not-so-good view of the stage. They do have light appetizers (I had the spinach dip, yum!) and drinks available.

Enjoy it!
