Anyone seen "Catwoman"?

Doesn't sound good, NeW York gave it *-one star as did Miami.:o

The guy here on WGN says it was the worst movie he has seen in years. Sounds like a good one, LOL.

It doesn't matter what the critics say, my DH will be dragging me out to the theater to see it. I guess I don't have to tell anyone why...

I think Halle Berry is one of the most beautiful and more talented actresses in Hollywood. I was sad to see the reviews were so horrible.

it will probably be out on DVD in a few weeks if it's that bad.... :teeth:

I thought the same thing!

We were supposed to go see it today but didn't... doesn't sound like a good waste of 2 hours! So far I've seen 3 GREAT movies in a row and I'd HATE to wreck that record! Maybe we'll wait till next week for the Manchurian Candidate.

DD is at the movies right now......of course, she is 14, and goes for the social aspect, so any movie will do

I got a free pass to see it when I bought the Batman: The Animated Series on DVD. I don't know if I want to see it, even if it is free!

THAT looks good, but then anything with Denzel is!! and the new Bourne flick looks good too...

sorry to hijack the thread---:teeth:

Just got back. It was HORRIBLE do not waste your money or time.

However, Halle Berry looks awesome.

I had no interest in seeing it anyway, but the critics sure are eating this one alive.

Comic book geek chiming in here, and to be honest I really have no interest in seeing "Catwoman." Besides, a lot of the prerelease buzz on the comic book sites was about as negative as the postrelease reviews.

Now, the new Batman movie filming now for release next year has a lot of promise so far.

Oh well, at least I got a Halloween costume idea out of it..

And don't even think of seeing "Anchorman" either. There's two hours of my life I won't be getting back. I would have rather went to the OB/Gyn than sit through that monstrosity either. And I LOVE every actor/actress in it.

What is with Halle Berry? She's a very good actress but first she was just dull as Storm in the X-Men movies and now she's being slammed for Catwoman. I guess that she's just not superhero material.

I thought Anchorman was hilarious for what it was. A spoof on the "news business". Will and Christina were excellent in their prospective roles. Just my opinion. :)

But then I grew up in the 70's about 30 miles north of San Diego, so I guess I can really relate!

I really hoped we would enjoy it more...my husband works for a news station, and we went with all our friends from the station went to see it. I think that Will Ferrell is hilarious, and I love his off the wall quotes, but the whole movie was him saying things like "great grandpa's corncob, that's good scotch." Occasionally it's funny for him to interject quotes like that, but a WHOLE movie of it?

We did love the street fight scene where my hottie tottie Vince Vaughn showed up, along with Luke Wilson and Ben Stiller. I bet that group is a hoot to hang out with in real life!

You know, come to think of it, we've been quoting that darn movie all week. It might have been dumb, but it made a lasting impression on us!!

I read an interview with Halle Berry recently where she mentioned comics fans said they wanted to see more of her character and that apparently Storm is more of a leader in the comic. If the X-Men movies suffered in any way it's in that the main characters used -- Professor X, Cyclops, Jean, Storm, and Wolverine -- have all been protrayed in leader roles in the comics. Combine that with the movies centering more on Wolverine than the others and some characters end up lacking time to really develop.
