The thread about the security guards rifling through the disposed "banned" items reminded me of what I saw on the news last night... I thought this was funny.

I think it was at Manchester airport. They showed two women dumping some items in the trash bins...including their Disney refillable mugs! They are great travel mugs..couldn't they have just emptied the mug?

Oh the horror!!! I have had mine for a couple of years and I don't think I could have brought myself to toss them at the airport. I would have begged to just let me keep the mugs and dump the liquid!

You know they should not allow those mugs on the plane, if you look at the bottom of those mugs, you can take it off, and its a great hiding place for travel size toothpaste!! You just wait, I will be stripped search for my make up and deodarant!!

Hmmmmm, if they're at MHT disposing of Disney refillable mugs, they must have been taking them back down to WDW. ::shocked:

I know the subject of the re-use of refillables has generated some heat :furious: on other boards in the past, and I'm not sure if it is a banned topic yet. ::cop:

Maybe Disney resorts has gotten to TSA to prevent folks from returning to WDW with their old refillable mugs ;)

I saw that too, I was wondering why she just didn't spill out the contents. :confused3

They were probably going to discard the mugs anyway, perhaps leave them in a plane seat pocket for the F/A to have to deal with.
