Anyone see the special on Columbus on TDC Sun?

I started watching it, then fell asleep. I wish they would start these shows before 10 pm!

How did it turn out? Who was Columbus actually? Were they able to figure out anything from his DNA?

I watched the entire thing.

They couldn't get enough of his dna to prove anything other than he wasn't Jewish. It inidcated and supported the other research that indicates he was a Catalonian - most likely the illegitimate son of the Colom family.

The language analysis said his native tounge was Catalonian and his age meant the couldn't be the son of the weaver from genoa.

Other than that no firm answers.
