Anyone see the All Star Game tonight?

The President absolutely did NOT get boo'd. Why would anyone say that? It never ceases to amaze me how people's politics affect everything in their lives.:guilty: And he most certainly reached the plate as well. In fact, he is probably one of the most athletic presidents we've ever had--politics aside, of course.

There were so many players who were videotaping and taking pictures of the crowd while they rode in the parade; it was really cool to see.

I was listening to the radio today and the resident radio guy said he was booed LOUDLY. People were calling into station confiming it.

:confused3

Cool pics!

Um, yeah, he did. I was pretty sure he did last night when I watched the original broadcast; I'm re-watching the game on my DVR right now and just verified. There were cheers, to be sure, but there was a definite undercurrent of booing under it.

The booing wasn't clear on the TV broadcast but I was listening to JC in the morning (I know he is a jerk) and he doesn't care for Obama and remained silent but he said he was absolutely embarassed for our city.

George W. on the Jumbotron was met with homerun cheers.

The same guy who you know is a jerk and doesn't care for Obama? Chances are his listeners that called in aren't Obama fans either. What a coinky-dink that you heard George W being met with "homerun cheers", eh? No wonder why political threads aren't allowed. We can't even discuss an all-star game without politics being brought into it.

I guess our ears are tuned differently then because I watched it too and didn't hear it.:confused3

Guess so. Everyone I've spoken to heard it, the media here reported widely on it, and I heard it myself, so I'm going with yes, there were boos.

But anyway...sheesh, enough with the politics! I don't want to get this thread closed because of something so stupid.

Editing my post because I don't want it closed.

Thanks for sharing the pics. They were awesome.

No problem! I loved being downtown during all of the prep work and getting to see everything take shape. The day of the HR derby, I actually got out of the office and walked all over the place during lunch, taking pics of everything. It was SUCH a gorgeous day; shame the day of the game itself wasn't so nice!

And if anybody wants to see more, I can either post 'em here, or if you're on Facebook, click the link in my sig; I've thrown all of the pics in an album there. :)

the pictures are awesome (as usual!) and yes, that is David Wright--thanks for that one!
