Anyone see Bill Clinton on Oprah?

I saw Oprah's interview with Bill Clinton and thought it was very well done. I've always been a Bill Clinton fan - even with some of the stuff he's done, but felt alot of his problems should have stayed in his family and not made public. I think he's a really good public speaker and his interview today reinforced that.

Well, I'm not a fan of Bill's, but I did admire how he has taken total responsibility for his affair with Monica and didn't try to make any excuses for it. I thought Oprah did a really good job too:D

I watched it too. And I agree that the whole Lewinski scandal should have stayed in his family.

Anyway, is it me or is he getting better looking? ;)

I was working so I missed the show, how did he take responsibillity for it?

From what I've heard, his book version is just a little different.

You know I was thinking that when I saw him on 60 minutes. I never thought he was attractive when he was in the white house but now he seems to be better looking. I think a big part is how is now is wearing his hair. But even pics of him when he was younger--nope not good looking in those, lol.

4greatboys, I also think it has something to do with not having that kind of stress anymore.

BTW, loved the pink power tie. Are they back "in" again. Or maybe he was just trying to win over all the "chicks" that watch Oprah. ;)

Was he smoking a cigar?;)

No, but he was wearing a navy blue suit with a funny little stain on it. :p

You know what I liked about the interview today? He seemed like an ordinary guy, like any other person around the block. Sometimes we (a generalized we, not anyone here) forget that the President (or former President) and other government officials are just people, not some sort of special beings, if you will (I can't think of better words), who are somehow different than we are.

I also liked that Oprah would ask a question, and Bill would want to preference it by saying something else, and she would say, "Well yeah okay, but ..." and ask the question again until he answered it, she didn't back down like other reporters or interviewers do. :) And I liked that he then answered the question directly, he didn't keep skirting the question like so many other politicians do.

I like what he said about Monica Lewinsky and how he would address her if he met up with her somewhere, some day ... not privately of course  :p ;).

He basically said he was wrong to do it and he wasn't going to make excuses for doing it. He said that he really regretted it, but most of all he regretted lying to Hillary, Chelsea and the American people. He also said he had to sleep on the couch for two months:eek:

I taped it and then saw parts of it so I still need to see the entire tape. I thought he handled the questions quite well and he seemed human and honest. After watching the 60 minutes interview and reading Time magazine today, I do think he has his canned answers to questions.

::yes::

I agree, in fact, that's what I've always liked about him...and about Jimmy Carter for that matter. Very unlike (IMHO) the incumbent and his father before him, who have never been "ordinary" in their own or many others' eyes.

I missed the show :( but I caught him on After the Show on Oxygen.

He was utterly mesmerizing in talking about the future of the country...and his words were reassuring. I feel better about the future of humanity than I have in a long time. The man is a fantastic public speaker....somehow, he breaks everything down so it makes sense and when he talks it feels as though he is addressing just you.

Not to be flip, but it's no wonder so many women find him attractive.

don't know which is more disturbing, his behavior, or the sycophants who think he is a regular guy who takes full responsibility. he is a disgrace, and both he & oprah are embarrassments.
