We are going in January & the rental fee is so high! I have been checking on and of but was wondering if anyone else had seen a decrease in the rates? Thanks for any help!

It looks like we will be there the same time. I keep checking as well but rates keep going up. We have a midsize SUV reserved for the week with Alamo for $136 using the Entertainment Coupon. Although I would like a van we are going to live with what we've got.

I need a minivan since there are 7 of us going. The rates are awful. I wonder why? I am getting desparate!

There are nine of us so we had to rent two cars. I understand your frustration. The rates are unusually high.

I understand and appreciate your concern.
I was one of the lucky ones who booked months ago and now have a van for $425 for 29th dec-7th jan.
If I look now for the same dates it close to 3 times as much !

I tried Payless 2x, the first time they turned me down, but the 2nd time they accepted my offer of $20 a day for a minivan and that's why I got. It ended up to be National and it was easy and painless. Although I got suckered into buying my gas upfront which allowed me to return on empty, but when I asked the clerk if that was the going rate (which he said yes), I ended up finding it for .20 cheaper. Oh well live and learn. We also drove everywhere so it was quite empty when I dropped it off.

Disney bunch- I was able to change our plans and am using ME, and only renting a minivan for 2 days and dropping it off at the Dolphin. It's really cheap doing that, is there any way you can make some changes to your itinerary? I had to think out of the box to make this work, but it will save us a bundle!

We are staying offsite for the first two days & then we are going to Universal & Celebration so we really need the car but I am going to think about all of this! Thanks!
