We will be sailing on the Magic this coming week, and while on board we will be booking another trip. We are thinking about doing the 12/17/05 - 12/24/05 Western cruise, as this works well with the school break. (I am a teacher and must work around the school calendar).

Has anyone sailed in late December before? And if so, how was it? We have only sailed in the summer. I know that the weather/water will be a bit cooler, but is it still comfortable??

I sailed on the Magic on 12/27 last year. I thought the weather was wonderful! We were on the Eastern.

January of this year. Weather was beautiful. Swam in the pools every day, each port and CC no problems. Very warm.

ms1, we were on the 12-27 Eastern too.
It was windy, but plenty warm. Crew said it was the roughest it had been in weeks, but I didn't notice anyone feelling ill, and believe me, it was a blast watching Pirates Of The Caribbean in the Buena Vista theater during rough seas. Sure made the movie look more realistic.

we sailed once mid December...the weather was great...but better yet, the ship was beautifully decorated for the holidays...

We have been on the eastern and western magic , both times in late december. The weather was hot but not too humid. Florida in the morning was the only time we had cool weather. The ships gift shops have 50% off sales on all dated items such as photo albums during december. We find Dec the best time for any Vacation because it gets you in " holiday mode" for the christmas holidays.
