Anyone running the half-marathon next year?

I tried to signup on line and read where if you are a DVC member they would rather you call. Everyone must be at lunch because I got a voicemail box.

Why the difference in registration?

Hi Kdonnel,

The diference is that CM's and DVC members get a discount!
This year it is a whopping $5.00 off the Half Marathon Registration fee of $70.00 !
Last year it was a very generous $20.00 off, if I remember correctly.

If you still don't get a hold of someone at Disney Sports, send me a PM with your email and I can send you a PDF of the CAST/DVC registration form.

It looked like it was going to fill up in the next few days and I didn't want to miss out so I went ahead and registered online. I guess I am out the $5.00. No biggie! Thanks for the offer though!

Now I just have to get ready!

I guess I need to decided how long to stay and make my room reservations also.

My husband and my daughter are both doing the half marathon in January. Heck, if I can, then I'll do it too. Does anyone know if for some reason you can't make it, can you put a substitute in your place??? We've already mad our ressie's though- at BCV's!!! Better hurry- when I talked to MS they said that weekend is hard to book!

registrations are non transferrable unfortunately (so if you cant go you are out of luck and out of $70!) . DH and I are both signed up for the 1/2. I liked the convenience and immediacy of signing up on-line so I decided to forego the DVC registration and $5 discount. We are really looking forward to it (welll--I am anyway. As this will be DH's very first road race ever he is feeling a bit nervous that I will leave him in the dust --it will be my 3rd 1/2 marathon but the first one post-baby).
