Hi guys I asked this on another forum but no response so I thought I’d ask my fellow 🇨🇦 Anyone rope drop lately with the early entrance for hotel guests ? How early did you arrive ? Any problems getting transportation that early?
I’m debating mears for our MK and ak just to avoid any bus issues..
thanks

We rope dropped at MK on May 25 and it worked fine. Our goal was to get to POC but we got stopped between Fantasy Land and Adventure Land as the latter wasn't open for an hour. I was sort of bummed out but we got to ride POC with no wait anyway. Oh well.

Don’t you count time passed from the RD to the ride start as wait time?

We did all 4 parks on my trip a couple weeks ago. We stayed on site (Swan). The buses start 45 mins before park open. For AK - that gave us time to get towards the front of the FOP queue. I am pretty sure we were on the first run of the day. For 7DMT - we had about a 30 min wait. We were able to walk to both DHS & Epcot due to staying at Swan.

Our first attempt was Remy, but it was closed for a private event. Second go - we did Remy, then LL for the rest of the rides as we only had a couple hours in the park on our last day. We could have got in both Remy & Frozen if we chose. For DHS, I can’t remember how early we went, ROTR was slow to start that day. But we still did get ROTR & MF:SR in by end of ETPE.

Sorry that about your misunderstanding. For ETPE, only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are open. In fact, it is recommended that non-ETPE eligible guests RD the Adventureland and Frontierland side, because the ETPE crowd will primarily be in the FL and TL side.

For MK, if you want to be at the front of the RD crowd, busses are the only way to go. The TTC will open at the same time they let the busses start dropping off. So, while you are parking and waiting for the monorail, boat, etc, the bus people will already be lining up at the security check points. For the other parks, the busses and skyliner will start running from the resorts approximately 60 min before the earliest park entry, currently ETPE. If you want to be on the 1st or 2nd bus of the day or towards the front of the skyliner queue, it is recommended you be at the bus stop/SL station 90 minutes before the park gates open, which will be about 30 minutes before the first bus arrives and SL starts running. This will put you near the front of the queue. For example: MK official open 9:00, MK ETPE 8:30, be at resort bus stop 7:00.

Of course, if you are at a resort within walking distance of a park(s), and you are capable, that is always the best recommendation to get the tapstiles 30-45 minutes early.

I have a question regarding your Remy experience. We are staying at Beach Club in August. If we rope drop do you think we can ride quickly without paying LL? How early should we arrive before early entry rope drop? It's been a few years and there are so many new rides / experiences and I'm just curious. We're not planning on doing Genie+. TIA

Yes, 100% you will have no issue - as long as it is not closed for private event 🤪

We arrived about 15 minutes before ETPE opening. So if ETPE is 8:30 am, be at the International Gateway entrance by 8:15 am.

Our trip back in March, we did both Remy & Frozen before park open. We just power walked over to Frozen after going on Remy. Normally I do not get Genie+ in Epcot. But this last trip we only had a couple hours so did not want to waste anytime in line and it’s an easy park to get LL immediately after checking into a ride.

We rope-dropped on May 31 at Epcot and Jun 1 at HS. But we were staying at Pop that had Skyliner access and fortunately that was a breeze.

We got in line at 6:50 am on May 31 and hopped on by 7:08 after they opened. We were in line at the International Gateway by 7:20 and was let through the gates at 7:30 (park was scheduled to open at 8:30). We were in line for Remy (posted wait was 20 minutes) and was off the ride by 8:15 (there was a technical delay of about 10-15 minutes). We did Remy without LL.

We got in line just after 7am on Jun 1 got on the Skyliner in about 7 minutes and on to HS in about 10 minutes. Rope-drop lines were longer, but again we were let in at 7:30 (scheduled to open at 8:30). We were in line at Slinky Dog immediately at rope-drop and got on the ride in 10 minutes after they opened (I believe opened at 8am).

When we left on Jun 2, we were booked on the Mears Connect bus for 7:35. We decided to wait in the designated area at 7:15 am. The line for buses to MK were long. The busses started arriving probably just after 7 am and they came one after another, each being the double/accordion busses. I'd say, by the time we left there was still a massive line after seeing about 3-4 busses come and go.

I believe onsite guests get early entry which is 30 minutes ahead of the posted opening time. It seems we were let in 30 minutes ahead of that, but rides didn't start until closer to the early entry time (8 am in our case). YMMV
