Anyone request upgrade to Concierge @ check-in @ WL?

We have a woodsview room booked (no concierge available)! How likely is it that we could upgrade to CL upon checkin? How much do they usually charge? Anyone been succesful in doing this?? Thanks!! Where was your room located if upgraded? Any advise on attempting this?

We had luck in Jan! The offered it to us for an additional $42 a night! We took it! I hear the wilderness lodge is best about giving great rates to upgrade to concierge! Good Luck!

Hope this isn't a stupid question, but is the $42/night for the entire room? There are four of us going in 2 weeks (me, DH, DD(6) and DS(3)) and that sounds reasonable if it's for the entire room.

Yes it was for the entire room, lol, what a silly question. Yes we felt the $42 was worth it, for the 4 of us it paid for breakfest and then some. The rest was all bonus. However don't assume you will get such a rate at check-in. It really depends what CM you get, and the season you go...ect. We just got lucky.

Just to clarify, that's $42 for the upgrade, on top of the regular room rate.

I agree, for $42 that a deal. But if you REALLY want concierge, book it in advance because it might not be available when you arrive.
